Uploading Your Video To LinkedIn

When you're finished with your Biteable video and you want to share it with LinkedIn, we've found the most effective approach is to upload. LinkedIn's algorithms prioritize native video (video that is directly uploaded to LinkedIn). Native videos autoplay in the feed on desktop which is more likely to grab attention. A custom thumbnail ensures those on mobile are attracted to hit play. Here's how to do it.

First, let's get your Biteable video download and thumbnail ready:

Download your Biteable video from the Export page.

On the Export page, above the video preview is an option to select a Thumbnail. You can upload a thumbnail or select one from your video. After you Save the thumbnail, the video will automatically update so that the hosted (Copy link) version of the video will use the selected Thumbnail when shared. Click the Download thumbnail option in the Thumbnail menu to open a downloadable JPEG version of your thumbnail that you can upload to LinkedIn.

Save the image onto your desktop.

Next, let's upload to Linkedin:

Visit Linkedin.com and click "Share an article, photo, video or idea".

Click the video icon.

Upload the Biteable video you just downloaded.

Add a title to your video.

Click "Select Thumbnail" to upload your custom thumbnail from your desktop.

Write a caption / clever post and add hashtags.

Click post.

Your video should now be visible on LinkedIn. Remember to respond to all comments for maximum engagement.
