Pinning & unpinning voice-over clips to scenes

To keep video creation clean and simple, voice-overs are automatically pinned to the scene you add them to. This stops errant voice-overs from getting lost on the timeline. To move a voice-over to a different scene, follow the steps below to easily unlink the clip from its original scene.

How to pin a voice-over to a scene

Pinning a voice-over to a scene is as easy as adding a voice-over. You don't have to do anything else — voice-over clips are automatically linked to the scene you add them to. This means that when you move your scene around the timeline, the voice-over will stay attached to it — they are grouped together and won't be separated unless you choose to unlink them.

If you'd prefer to move your voice-over clip freely around the timeline, unpin the clip from the scene it was added to. To unlink a voice-over clip from a scene, follow the steps below:

  1. Find the voice-over clip you'd like to unlock, and click button that looks like a link

  1. Click the "Detach from scene" button
  2. The clip will unlink from the scene and become moveable around the timeline

Please note: You cannot currently repin a voice-over to a scene after you have detached it. Watch this space!
