Grid Ratios and Pixels
Biteable provides a grid outline to help with alignment and safety margins. The grid can be turned on and off from the header above the canvas.
For convenience, we have added a view of the grid that shows the number of gridlines and pixels on a 16:9 canvas and a 1:1 canvas. This can be used if you are creating a video that will need to be cropped to a custom size.
At the bottom of this article, we have also included a video tutorial on how to use the grids to set your video project up for a custom crop. The video cropping tool used in the tutorial (after the project is setup for a custom crop) can be found here: https://online-video-cutter.com/crop-video
You can always create videos in the four aspect ratios we support 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:5. These aspect ratios are commonly used in different social media platforms. You can select the aspect ratio of your video when you create a new video or duplicate an existing video.
