Getting started with Biteable

If you’ve been added to a team on Biteable, you’ll get an email alert. Click the link in the email or head straight to https://app.biteable.com/social/ to log in.

Once you’re in Biteable, there are three ways to make a video:

Using our AI video assistant. Create your first draft with AI.
Choosing a video template. Just tweak the text and media.
Starting a new video from scratch. Build a video from pre-made building block scenes

How to Download Your Biteable Video

|| To download a video as an mp4 file you must have a paid subscription plan. || During your free trial, you can publish videos and share them with a link. After your trial is complete, you can create and edit videos but you will need a paid plan to build or update final videos to share them.

When you're finished creating your video, select Publish option on the top right, then hit the button to build/update your video.

When your video has finished building, hit the 'Download' option on the left and you'll be set!

All videos are downloaded in HD as .mp4 files with 30 fps (frame rate) and Channel 2 Stereo. SD/HD/4K download options are available for Premium plans.

When creating a Biteable video, you can upload your own videos and images to include in any scene.

How to upload your own videos and images

There are a number of ways to upload your or videos or images into Biteable, depending on where you are in the app.

From your Asset Library

The Asset Library is your one-stop shop for uploading and organizing your uploads and assets. You have a Personal Library (only you can see these assets) and a Team Library (for shared assets on a Premium plan).

Select "Assets" from the side menu
Choose between your personal assets or your shared team assets by clicking “My uploads” or “Team uploads”
Click "Upload media" to add a new clip or image to your library

Images and footage uploaded to your Asset Library can be easily added to any video at any time using the methods below.

Publishing & sharing your Biteable video is as easy as clicking a button.

Once you've finished creating your video in the Editor, click to Publish on the top right to build your video. You can then select from three sharing options:

Copy link: This allows you to share a link to your video's hosted watch page — a unique page where your video lives.
Embed: The embed option provides a code that allows you to put your video into web pages as needed.
Download : Download your video as an mp4 file to share or upload wherever you please. Downloading is only available in our paid plans.

Thumbnail: This allows you to download the current video thumbnail, upload a custom video thumbnail, or choose a video thumbnail from your video.
GIF: Click the GIF button and Biteable will export a GIF of your video up to 30 seconds long.
Add CC: This button will create closed captions for your video based on any audio that is present.
Rebuild your video: Click this button when you need to rebuild your video because you've made changes, such as changing the Project

Leave your voice-over to AI with Biteable's text-to-speech tool. Exclusive to Premium users, text-to-speech unlocks an easier way to add voice-overs to your videos.

How to use text-to-speech (AI voiceovers)

Open a video project or create a new one
Click the microphone icon in the timeline to open the voice-overs modal
Click “Text to speech”
Follow the steps shown. First enter the script or text you want to use. Then select the voice that works best for your video — you can click the Preview button to hear a sample of each voice. Next, click “Generate voiceover”.
Click “Add Voiceover to timeline”

Please note: Text to speech narrations have a limit of 1,000 characters per clip which is about 200 words.
