Teams: add members, seats, roles, and ownership
Invite people to your Biteable account, control what they can do, and manage seats, billing, and ownership from one place: Users under My account.
Invite team members
- Go to My account → Users (or click Invite people in the top right of the editor).
- Enter their email address and click Send invite.
Invitees join by clicking the link in their email. If they don't have a Biteable account they'll sign up; if they already have one, they join your team and keep their existing videos.
"They're already on a team" error: the person may have started their own trial (making them admin of their own team) or belong to another team. Contact support with their email address and we can usually move them to your team.
Roles and seats
- Editors — free, unlimited. They can view and edit shared video projects.
- Publishers — can create, publish, and share videos with full access to your plan's features. Pro includes 1 publisher seat, Premium includes 3, and Business includes unlimited publishers. To add publisher seats on Pro or Premium, go to Users and click Add more Publishers.
Change anyone's role with the dropdown beside their name in the Users tab.
Deactivate or reactivate a member
Set a member to inactive from the same role dropdown. Their account stays on your team but they can't log in; videos they shared remain available to the team. Only the account owner can reactivate an inactive member — if you're locked out as inactive, ask your account owner.
Transfer account ownership
If you're the current owner: open Users, click the role dropdown next to an active team member, select Owner, and confirm with Transfer Ownership. If the dropdown isn't available (this can happen when billing is tied to the current owner), contact support with both email addresses.
Billing and SSO
- Manage your team's payment details in Plan & billing.
- Single Sign-On (Microsoft or Google) is available on the Business plan — see SSO Setup for Microsoft and Google.
