Add Stock / Footage as a background or new scene

There are three ways to get stock clips, footage, and images into your project — as a new scene, into an existing scene, or as a replacement for existing media.

Add stock to an existing scene

1. Select the scene in your timeline.
2. Click Stock in the content bar on the left of the editor.
3. Search or browse, then click a clip or image to add it to the scene's foreground.

To use it as the scene's background instead, select the added element, open its More (three-dot) menu, and choose Set as background — a scene can have one background element.

Add stock as a new scene

Click Add Scene at the end of your timeline, then choose your footage from the Stock section instead of a pre-made scene.

Replace existing content with stock

Select the image or video you want to swap, click the More (three-dot) button, and choose Replace element (or Replace background for background media), then pick from the Stock library. See How to replace images and videos.
