Sometimes, sharing to social media can cause a black thumbnail or a different thumbnail than what you'd prefer. While you can't edit your thumbnail here on Biteable, there are ways to do it on some social sites (note: not all social networks will allow you to do this).

LinkedIn:

  1. After you export your video, download the video file

  2. Upload to LI using their upload feature

  3. Head back to Biteable Export page and pause the video where you'd like the thumbnail to be

  4. Take a screenshot from the Biteable export page of just that scene from your video.

  5. Upload that screenshot image to LinkedIn using their upload thumbnail feature when you add a video!

YouTube:

  1. You can select a custom thumbnail from three randomly selected options

  2. If these three are not ideal, you can upload your own

Facebook:

  1. For a 25 second video, Facebook will provide up to 10 different custom thumbnails that you can choose from, along with the option to upload your own.

We suggest making your own thumbnails when possible, so here's our Biteable guide on how to do it!
