Accessing and Using Stock Footage and Images
To browse our amazing library of footage and images:
Click on Add from the left sidebar or from the Plus button on the right side of your Timeline
Select Videos and Images from the Type of Scenes category
Select Videos from the toggle in the category for Stock Footage, and select Images if you'd like to add still pictures instead.
Browse our pre-stacked folders, or use the search bar with a keyword
You can add multiple scenes to your Timeline at once. Just keep clicking and watch them appear on the Timeline at the bottom of your screen!
Pro tip: If you love a specific scene, you can click on the heart icon on the top right corner of the scene thumbnail. This will save it to the Favorite folder, saving you a search to find it again in the future!
Editing Options for Stock Footage and Images
Once you have added a scene to your project, there are some things you can do to it so it will match the message that you want to convey.
You can use this option if you want to go back to the Library to change the scene.
It's the Trash Bin icon next to Replace. You click on this to take the selected footage out of your Scene.
If you'd like to showcase only a specific bit of the footage on the scene, you can click Trim. This is only available for Footage.
For example, if the scene shows someone holding a fishing pole, and then casting it off, but you want to only show the part where they throw the line, simply select this function and use the sliders to clip the footage, as you see on the .gif above!
We have three options in the Placement category:
Zoom, to magnify or reduce the size of the footage in the background.
Flip, to rotate the footage 180 degrees.
Reset, to bring everything back to the default setting.
The color filter option will cast a color overlay on top of your scene. You can choose your color, and select the opacity by using the slider.
The last option, is to change the color of the background of the scene! Simply click on the circle, and select that perfect shade for the backdrop of your fabulous scene. This is extra fun if you push the footage to the side to reveal some plain background behind it!
Now you know all you need to know about using our vast library of videos and images! Have fun creating fun, memorable projects in Biteable!
