In Biteable, we try our very best to keep the machinery running as smooth as butter for you and your brilliant projects. However, sometimes there are bumps on the road that makes your project halt for a bit. Here are some common scenarios, and the tried and true advice from our IT team:

My render failed on the first try. What do I do?

Try to build it again. Remember the "turn it off and on again" advice everybody gives you? It might work here too! We're making no promises but please try to build your video at least twice.

I've got some longish caption near the point where the build broke. What's the character limit?

That's a great question! Truth be told, we do not have one strict limit. Generally please try to avoid long captions. Break your long text into a few smaller ones on separate scenes. Additional benefit: shorter text captures your audience's attention better!

The background is blank near the point where the build broke. What should I do?

What are you using in the background? If it's an asset from our library, please try to delete it and add the background again. If it's an asset you uploaded, please do the same - remove and upload again.

Didn't help? It's possible that the asset that you're using is broken. Please let us know through customer support. This way we'll investigate the issue and fix the asset. However, if you need a video urgently, a workaround would be choosing a different background.

There is an animation near the point where the render broke. Can it be causing issues?

It's possible that the animation is causing the render to fail. To test it, please remove the animation and rebuild the video. If it built without the animation, you can try to upload it again.

Did it fail again? Please let us know, it'll allow us to fix the animation for you and other customers. Sadly it might take us a couple of hours. If you need a video urgently, we'd suggest choosing another animation while waiting for the broken one to be fixed.

I've got an image/logo near the point where the video broke.

The first thing to do is to delete the asset and add it again. If it's from our library, please select it once more. If you uploaded the file yourself, please upload it again.

This usually does the trick, but please, let us know if it still doesn't work! It'll allow us to fix the animation for you and other customers. Sadly it might take us a couple of hours. If you need a video urgently, we'd suggest choosing another image/video while waiting for the broken one to be fixed.
