Accessing and using the Animation Library

To use our library of icons and animations:

Click on the Graphics button to the left of your video's canvas

Select the type of animation you're looking for (characters, business icons, etc). Similarly-styled animations are grouped folders.

Click the scene you need, and it will be automatically added to your Timeline.

Editing animations

You can edit animations once you add them to the timeline so they better fit your message.

To edit, click on the animation to activate the editing options. These will appear on the right-hand screen. You'll see the following options:

Animation colors

Most of our animations have the option to customize colors. Each circle represents a different section of the animation that you can edit. Click each circle to change to your preferred color. We also support HEX codes so you can get that special shade of green that will fit your branding.

Trim graphic timing

If you'd like to showcase only a specific bit of the animation on the scene, you can click Trim graphic timing.

For example, if the animation shows two hands appearing one by one, and then making a handshake, but you want to only show the handshake, simply select this function and use the sliders to clip the animation, as you see on the .gif above!

Pro Tip: If your scene duration is longer than the duration of the animation, it may start to loop! Keep that in mind when creating your videos!

Placement

We have three options when editing the placement of your animation:

Zoom, to magnify or reduce the size of the animation on the background. You can also drag the corners of the animation to resize on the canvas.

Flip, to rotate the animation 180 degrees.

Reset, to bring everything back to the default setting.

Graphic and image effects

Add an intro effect to your graphics by choosing an effect from the dropdown menu. Your options include:

Fade in

Scale up

Elegant rise

Rotate bounce

More animation options

Selecting your animation on the canvas and clicking the three dot ... options menu brings up further options for customizing your animation's placement. This includes:

Edit timing

Tweak when the animations and text enter and exit the scene with more precise timing options

Trim graphic timing

Control how much of the animation plays in your scene.

Why is box around the animation on my scene a slightly different color than my background?

The slight difference in coloring is only visible in the preview editor mode. It is there to help show you how much space the animation will use so that you can better arrange text or other objects on the scene. In some cases you may be ok with animation movement overlapping behind or in front of your text or images or other videos, but in many cases you may want to preserve adequate spacing. When you publish your video, that slightly different color will not appear and the animation background will be fully transparent.
