Use a Biteable Video for Your Zoom Background

To use a Biteable video as a Zoom background, publish and download it in 1080p HD, then add the file as a video background in Zoom’s Background & Effects settings (or use a single exported frame as a static background).

Common Questions:
  • Can I use a Biteable video as a Zoom video background?
  • How do I set a video to be my Zoom background?
  • How do I get a single frame from my video to be my Zoom background?

Want to add some flair to your Zoom meetings with a Biteable video background? Follow these simple steps to get your video or a custom thumbnail set as your Zoom background.

Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Export Your Biteable Video
  • Once you’ve finished creating your video in Biteable, publish it in 1080p HD. Zoom will only accept videos up to 1080p HD as a virtual video background. Once you've published your video in Biteable, download it.
  1. Change Your Zoom Background
  • Open Zoom, go to Settings > Background & Effects.
  • Select the Virtual Background tab.
  • Click on the “+” icon to upload a new background.
  • Choose the Biteable video you exported and set it as your Zoom background.

Bonus Tip: Use a Still Image as Your Zoom Background

If you prefer a static background, you can set a custom thumbnail in Biteable and use that image as your Zoom background.

  1. Set a Custom Thumbnail
  • In Biteable, choose a frame from your video and set it as a custom thumbnail.
  1. Download the Thumbnail
  • Export and download this custom thumbnail image to your device.
  1. Use the Thumbnail as Your Zoom Background
  • Follow the same steps in Zoom’s Background & Effects settings to upload the thumbnail as a static image for your background.
