Adding/uploading audio

The right soundtrack can make or break a video project. That's why Biteable offers a library of royalty-free music and premium soundtracks for you to choose from, plus the option to upload your own audio files. Here's how to add audio to your projects.

Choosing soundtracks from our music library

To add one of our tracks to your project, follow the below instructions:

Click on the music note icon at the bottom left of your timeline in Design mode, or on the top left of your video preview in Script mode.

A library pop-up will appear — click on the play button to hear a preview.

Select the soundtrack you'd like to use by clicking the circle to the left of that track. The Basic soundtrack list is accessible for all users, while the Premium library is exclusive to our Teams plan subscribers.

Click Save.

Simple as that! Your project will now play with the selected audio background. The track will play according to the length of the project. If the duration of the audio is shorter than the video, it will automatically loop.

Pro tip: The soundwaves on the bottom of your Timeline represents the audio you choose, so you can edit your video to match the music! Place your most important message on the beat drop and you've got a recipe for a memorable video.

Uploading your own audio

If you have something specific in mind, you can also upload your own audio. Here are the requirements of the files we support:

We support .wav and .mp3 files only

Below 250MB in size

Once you know your file is good to go, here's what to do:

Click on the music note icon at the bottom left of your timeline

A pop-up will appear. Click Upload to shift away from the Library.

Select Add Music, or browse your previous uploads.

Click Save.

Extra tip: Voice-over

You can also add a second audio track, or a Voice-over, to your videos. Find out more about Voice-over here.
